Construction has now begun on the Interdisciplinary Collaboration and Innovation (ICI) building on Alumni Avenue.
Set to open in December 2025, the ICI is a unique, four-storey space dedicated to bringing together researchers, experts, scholars, students and the community. In the ICI, interdisciplinary teams from the entire UBC Okanagan research spectrum, and Faculties across campus, will find a home to collaboratively investigate and explore solutions to complex societal problems from multiple perspectives.

I am pleased to announce that the UBC Board of Governors has approved the appointment of Dr. Marie Tarrant as Dean, Faculty of Health and Social Development (FHSD), for a five-year term, commencing January 1, 2023. Dr. Tarrant has served as dean pro tem of FHSD since January 1, 2022. Prior to this, she was the Director of the UBC Okanagan School of Nursing from 2016 to 2021.
