Testimonials

“The UBCO ACAP program connected me with a fantastic opportunity to work at icInfrastructure. Over the past 2 years, I have used the skills from my degree to contribute to several of the company’s projects while also learning and growing as a professional.

I found the workshop focused on building a resume particularly helpful, and I was able to get additional support to refine my resume and cover letter after the workshop.”

— Rowan Holyer, Analyst,  icInfrastructrue

“The UBCO ACAP program has been great for us as a local business here in the Okanagan. It has connected us with high quality graduates who we can bring onto our small team, and give them meaningful employment as they start their careers.  As a business focused on training public infrastructure owners and communities including towns and cities, our work covers a very wide range of disciplines and there are many skills that arts students can contribute to our efforts.

Our most recent UBCO ACAP hire, Rowan, graduated from UBCO with an Economics degree and he’s been a great asset to the team.  His skills and interests developed throughout his degree add value we have been able to fold into our programs while nurturing his career exploration and development.  We are keen to provide mutually valuable experience—helping new graduates gain confidence and knowledge in the infrastructure industry, while helping us add value to the communities we work with.

We really appreciate what UBCO ACAP is doing for the freshly graduated arts students and the industries they work with, thanks to all those involved.”

— Iain Cranston, Director, icInfrastructure
