UBC Okanagan Technology Bursary Program

About the Bursary

The UBC Okanagan Technology Bursary Program is designed to financially help students in need who do not have the necessary technology essential to learning online.

The bursary is available to help students fill general technology needs such as a computer, a tablet, headphones, a webcam, a printer/scanner, specialized accessibility technology (e.g. ergonomic mouse), or internet access. This is a one-time needs based bursary that will be allocated based on the severity of need.

  • Be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at UBC Okanagan with a full-time course load.
  • Apply for the bursary by the deadline (August 4, 2020)

UBC Bursary Verifications

All UBC bursary support is subject to financial review and verification. Students should keep all relevant receipts and documents for 18 months after applying. Failure to provide the requested documents in a timely manner may result in the delay or cancellation of your UBC bursary funding, and/or a reassessment of the original application.

Procedures for Accepting an Offer

Bursary recipients will be notified using the email address provided on the Student Service Centre (SSC). An offer letter with the bursary amount will be uploaded to the student’s SSC account. Before funds can be disbursed each student must accept their offer through the SSC and provide UBC with direct-deposit information. Bursary offers not accepted within the study period will be cancelled.
