Good morning,

The City of Kelowna has issued a snow event advisory due to the current weather. During inclement weather, UBC Okanagan Facilities Management works diligently to manage the snow and ice on campus to keep us all safe and warm.

At this time, streets and walkways are cleared on campus, BC Transit is still running its regular service, and no local travel safety notices have been published by the City of Kelowna or the RCMP.

As a result, UBC Okanagan remains open and all final exams are proceeding at their regularly scheduled times in line with our snow policy.

Dear colleagues,

As you are aware, the UBC Okanagan Faculty of Management is undergoing an external review as part of UBC’s standard practice under the Senate Policy on Reviews of Administrative Units. The external review will also inform the search process for the Faculty’s next Dean under the Board of Governors Policy AP5.

Unfortunately, the in-person site visit scheduled for November 2022 was postponed due to illness. We are pleased to announce that the site visit has been rescheduled for January 10 to 12, 2023.

Dear colleagues,

UBC Okanagan recognizes the stress and uncertainty that COVID-19 and now the latest Omicron variant has put on our students, faculty and staff. These concerns have understandably come to the fore during this term’s final exam period.

We have been working hard with Interior Health and the Public Health Office to ensure that in-person campus activities are as safe as possible.
