Student Experience of Instruction

Students have a crucial perspective on the quality of teaching and learning at UBC, which they are invited to share by completing Student Experience of Instruction (SEI) surveys. The SEI surveys are administered at the end of each term by the Planning and Institutional Research Office. SEI reports are released to instructors following the submission of grades. These data can be used by instructors, departments, Schools and Faculties to reflect on opportunities to improve courses and the student experience, support reappointment, tenure and promotion decisions, guide department and program reviews and more.
